Samsung Pivot Touchscreen Mobile Phone has features and specifications that can undoubtedly put it in the league of Apple iPhone killers. It has almost all features of an Apple iPhone. A 2.6” touch sensitive screen with a resolution of 320 × 240 pixels is sported. There is a QWERTY keyboard beneath this touch-display as well. This phone is expected to be released in October this year, in the USA. The Samsung Epix phone, which is considered to be the predecessor of the Pivot, was released during the same time last year (October 2008).
The Samsung Pivot is a smartphone which runs on the Windows Mobile 6.1 OS. There are reports which tell that this cell phone might even feature the Windows Mobile 6.5 OS during the time of its release. This handset is 3G enabled. High speed internet access and emailing is thus assured. The internal memory of this cell phone has a 2GB capacity. This is quite spacious compared to many smartphones available in the market these days. Moreover there is a microSD card slot, for memory expansion too. This handheld is WiFi capable as well. With the GPS receiver built into this gadget, you can also get help with route navigation. Bluetooth compatibility is also offered by this gizmo.
A 3.2 Megapixel camera has been packed into this handset. Some sites even mention that this phone will feature a 5MP camera. A multimedia player is housed in this music phone too. Pricing details are not known yet. However, Samsung Pivot Smartphone, surely does pack in a whole world of advanced features and technologies to make it an ideal modern communication gadget.

Sony Ericsson Projects New Satio as an iPhone Killer

Embattled mobile phone manufacturer Sony Ericsson has announced its new expectation in the form of Sony Ericsson Satio Mobile Phone (Idou) that is a combination of high-end imagery and Walkman, according to the maker. The smartphone projected as an iPhone killer (or another iPhone killer) is apparently the flagship model of Sony Ericsson that it expects to save them from the not-so-friendly financial situation.
The Satio, which is expected to play the giant killer by toppling the Apple iPhone from its touchscreen forte by the makers, offers a touch-screen keyboard, apart from free access to many Hollywood movies. The smartphone that holds remarkable music capabilities is also expected to feature a number of applications suiting websites such as Facebook and YouTube.
The Satio that was previously called Idou, according to the vice president of marketing at Sony Ericsson, Steve Walker was the device taking all the things acquired by the firm and a big step taken even beyond that. It is also worth mentioning here the fact that Sony Ericsson had posted a loss of GBP293 million in the year's first quarter when the worldwide sales of the mobile phones had fell by 8.6 percent.
However, one can see a great amount of hope in the faces of the briefing Sony Ericsson spokesmen when the subject was Satio. On the other hand, it is something for close watching whether Satio can kill the New App Store fortification of iPhone with a team led by by a 12.1MP camera. If Sony Ericsson does not waste much time to realise that a smartphone is rated by the people by its communication and connectivity aspects, it can obviously take the fight to the iPhone camp.

LG enV Touch Mobile Phone or LG VX11000 Mobile Phone is one of those phones which will definitely kindle great enthusiasm among reviewers and consumers. This phone, which has also been termed as LG Voyager2, is quite expensive, selling at $599 (GBP 375) in the US on the Verizon network. There is no news yet about a UK release.

LG is all set to roll out a few mobile handsets that not only look smart, but also house many modern technologies, for making life easy. The LG enV3 Mobile Phone will be launched today and will run on the Verizon network. This mobile phone is constructed similar to the LG enV Touch phone. It has 2 screens as well. However, the external one is quite small, a 1.5” WVGA display. The remaining portion on the front is covered by a numeric keypad. This cell phone is a clamshell too. It opens out to reveal the internal 2.6” 320 x 240 pixels display and the 4-row QWERTY keyboard.
This phone is a multimedia handset. It features the V CAST music with Rhapsody. These digital music services allow wireless entertainment content access. A music player is packed in this phone too. Even a 2.5mm headphone socket is present in this music phone. A 3 Megapixel camera is also built into this cell phone to make special moments in life memorable. You can as well record videos with this camera phone. Memory will never be a cause of concern as this handheld has a microSD card slot which can hold up to 16GB cards. You can store a good amount of information in the cards. Transferring files to other devices can be done with the Bluetooth ability of this device. HTC Hero Android Mobile Phone For Orange In The UK

HTC Hero Mobile Phone is the next Android phone from HTC, the Taiwanese mobile phone maker. The company had earlier released 2 Android handsets – HTC Magic and HTC Dream.
The HTC Hero Cell Phone is expected to feature a 3.2 Megapixel camera, Bluetooth connectivity and 3G capability. It is also expected to sport a touchscreen. Multimedia features might be offered as well, considering the fact that one of the leaked pictures of this gadget shows a 3.5mm headphone socket built into it. There is a raised chin on the lower side of the handheld. Neither a directional pad nor a trackball have been seen in the leaked pictures. Hence, one might have to rely on the touchscreen completely for navigation and scrolling. Also, a pink version of this phone was seen doing rounds on websites few months ago. The recent pictures captured by CodeAndroid show a black version. Phew! That's a relief! Other specifications are yet to be known.
HTC Hero Android Phone will be shipping with the Orange network in the UK sometime later this year. How will this new handset fare in the market? Will it be better than the HTC Dream and the HTC Magic? We have to wait and watch.
