Mobile Phones With Cameras For Cricket Fans
Capetown is a really blessed city as far as cricket is concerned. On 23 April 2009, this city witnessed a very special cricket match, which will go down in history. For the very first time in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 20-20 matches, there was a tie between the two playing teams - the Rajasthan Royals and the Kolkata Knight Riders. To decide a winner, there was a "Super Over" played, where either team got to play an extra over. And THAT was the most electrifying part of the entire match. Many flashes from digital cameras and camera mobile phones, zapped in the back-ground during this crucial over. Among them were some spectators, who carried along high resolution camera phones like the Nokia N86 8MP camera phone to snap stunningly detailed stills of the match.

Both teams made 150 runs during the main match which led to the 'super over'. This final thrilling over, saw Yusuf Pathan scoring 18 runs from just 4 balls, leading the Rajasthan Royals to victory.

Initially the rain played spoil sport, creating great disappointment among the players and the audience. However, after a 45 minute delay, the match did start, with the Kolkata Knight Riders, captained by  Brendon McCullum, winning the toss and electing to field. The Rajasthan Royals, with Shane Warne as captain, then went on to make 150 runs, losing 6 wickets. The final over was an exciting one, with batsman Abhishek Raut sending the ball flying over the field for 2 stunning sixes. He also scored a four in this final over. The Knight Riders got a good start during their batting, with Gayle smashing 41 runs off 33 balls. The final over, which was on tenterhooks, required the KKRs to score 7 runs off 6 balls to win. However, they managed to bag just 6 runs, causing the tie.

Among all the hullaballoo, were the cheer leaders dancing away for their teams at the score of every sixer, or four, or when a wicket was taken. The beautiful Bollywood actor Shilpa Shetty, who is also the owner of the Rajasthan Royals, was one of the most excited spectators of this Twenty20 match. Shah Rukh Khan, the King Khan of Bollywood and owner of the Kolkata Knight Riders, surely did look disappointed after the match, but took the defeat in good spirits.

The next match is being played between the Royal Challengers of Bangalore and the Kings XI Punjab at Durban on 24 April 2009. Passionate cricket fans from all over the city will definitely flock together, to capture those unique and exhilarating moments with their camera phones and digital cameras!
