The Access Linux Platform 3.0 forms the software base of this device. The menu system, called sPlay, has been designed by Emblaze Mobile. You can scroll through and select sub menus with your thumb. This seems to make the handset more ergonomic than the ones that are present in the market. This is just an assumption concluded from imagination. This however remains to be seen.


The ELSE is also said to possess to the ability to record calls and the time when they were made. This feature can prove to be quite handy for business-men who might finalise their deals over phone. Another 'never before' quality of this cell phone is GPS-linked reminders. You can set reminders to alert you about something when you are at a particular place, like things you need to buy when you're at the supermarket. There's information that an app store and an SDK release are on the cards for Emblaze.


The First ELSE Mobile Phone sports a 3.5" capacitive touch-display with a resolution of 854 x 480 pixels. The Texas Instruments OMAP 3430 processor has been employed for handling processing. Networking options include WiFi, 3G (HSDPA and HSUPA) ability and Bluetooth. All in all, this looks like a promising device. Presently, there's no word on release and pricing of this handheld.
