Given below are few steps that let you back-up SIM contacts safely on an external card. Firstly, insert the memory card in which you want to copy the contacts into your phone. Make sure you use a memory card other than the existing one on your mobile phone. Once you have inserted, select contacts and press menu button. On pressing menu button many options will be displayed, along with the option 'more'.

When you click more, few options will be displayed. From the list select Import/export option. After that, you can select Export to memory card and confirm it by clicking Ok. As soon as the task is complete, you will have a back-up of your important contacts in the memory card. You can remove the card and store it safely.
