The latest incarnation of the Pearl range of Blackberry smartphones is the Blackberry Pearl 3G. As the name suggests it offers 3G support along with many other additional features. There are 2 kinds of Pearl 3G handsets - the 9100 and the 9105. While the Blackberry Pearl 3G 9100 mobile phone features the trademark SureType QWERTY keyboard, the Blackberry Pearl 3G 9105 mobile phone sports an alpha-numeric keypad. Either of them offer an optical trackpad for menu navigation. They also present dedicated media control keys.

This candybar smartphone has a 360 x 400 pixels screen. The processor employed has a clock speed of 624MHz. The native BlackBerry OS v5.0 is incorporated in this device.

A 3.2MP camera with flash and autofocus has been built into this mobile handset. You can click photographs, shoot videos and upload them on your favourite social communities. With 3G compliance, this handheld assures speedy internet access. The protocols supported are HSDPA, UMTS, GPRS, EDGE and quad-band GSM.
