Blackberry Tour 9630 Smartphone, true to its name lets you tour around the world while also staying connected anywhere you go. Not just that, this mobile phone promises to give you 3G connectivity in most places too.
Apart from staying in touch wherever you go, the Blackberry Tour also lets you make special moments memorable with its 3.2 Megapixel camera. Features like flash, auto-focus and image stabilization allow you to click stills with precision. Geo-tagging even lets you add geographical details to the pictures. Video recording is possible with this camera phone as well. Share your photographs and video clips with friends and family by uploading them to popular social networking websites like Facebook, Flickr, MySpace and more.
Stay entertained during your journeys also with the multimedia player built into this mobile phone. You can store your media files (songs, videos and more) in the 256MB in-phone memory. If this is not sufficient, there is an option to expand memory as well. This smartphone supports Bluetooth connectivity. Hence you can listen to the music with a Bluetooth headset or even transfer files to other Bluetooth capable devices. As mentioned earlier, it supports 3G technology (HSPA), ensuring faster communication. The GPS capability of this handset along with Blackberry maps lets you locate places and find your way with turn by turn directions. You might have to install location based softwares before this.
Be it checking your mail, surfing the internet, watching videos, playing games, viewing maps, photographs and more, you can do it all on the bright, crisp-picture displaying 480 x 360 pixels screen. This handheld is supposed to be very ergonomic too. It carries forward the Blackberry-trend of QWERTY keyboard, with back-light. Thus the Blackberry Tour 9630 Mobile Phone lets you ‘take life with you’ wherever you go. This phone will be available on Verizon for $199 and Sprint for $200 from 12 July, 2009. There was news that Telus will be selling the phone for a price of $249.99 in Canada as well. A UK release has not yet been mentioned.
