HP Glisten Ipaq Mobile Phone

HP have announced their latest Ipaq phone, the HP Glisten Ipaq Mobile Phone, which has been designed for businessmen. It is supposed to be a feature-packed mobile handset.
The Glisten Ipaq has a 2.5” touchscreen as well as a QWERTY keyboard. The touchscreen is an AMOLED one. A 5-way directional keypad is also present in the handheld. Plenty of multimedia features are supposed to be present in this handheld too. A 3.2MP camera is built-in as well.
The handset is based on the Windows Mobile 6.5 OS. An improved web browser with support for Flash is supposed to have been integrated into the device. Mobile Office is supported and you can view Outlook, Word, Excel, PDF and PowerPoint documents. This mobile phone is also supposed to offer a variety of networking options and is said to provide a familiar and consistent email support. GPS ability, with turn-by-turn navigation is supposed to be supported too.
The HP Glisten Ipaq Smartphone has been confirmed for a US release with a price tag of $230. The device will be available with AT&T network operator. According to a senior HP official, HP’s success strategy in developing the Ipaq business and consumer base is in partnering with the leaders of the industry like Microsoft and AT&T and leveraging their collective strengths in both business and prosumer markets.
A UK release has not been mentioned as of now.
