ZiiLABS have been working on a prototype of a multimedia and gaming Android mobile phone. This device, called Zii Trinity will not actually be sold as such. A 3.5G capable phone, the Trinity, promises download speeds of up to 7.2Mbps. The processor employed is the ZMS-05 StemCell Processor. The platform that this device is based on seems like a derivative of Android and Plaszma. For accelerated graphics, video and imaging, the OpenGL ES 3D is employed. Internally, there is a 256MB memory housed in this cell phone. Apart from this microSD cards are also supported for extension and data transfers. A micro USB port is present as well for charging and connectivity. One rare feature in this handheld is its HDMI port, which makes it possible to link this phone to a TV monitor for 1080p videos.
The Zii mobile handset has a 3.1" 480x800 pixels capacitive OLED touchscreen with multi-touch capability. For audio, the Xtreme Fidelity technology has been incorporated. A 5MP camera with autofocus and a VGA video call camera are fitted on the rear and front sides of this mobile phone respectively. Networking options include support for WiFi and Bluetooth. GPS ability is offered too.
So if the idea is successful and if Google does like it, then we might soon have more powerful and faster gaming smartphones with HDMI 1080p connectivity!

Acer DX900 Touchscreen Mobile Phone comes in an attractive black solid casing of 106 x 60.5 x 17mms size and weight of 147 grams. Samsung Gravity 2 Mobile Phone – Samsung T469

Texting and social networking have become essential qualities in mobile phones. What else could make a handset more texting-friendly than a QWERTY keyboard. Many handhelds come with such keyboards these days. Samsung Gravity 2 Mobile Phone, also called Samsung T469 Mobile Phone is the latest entry in this category. The best part about this gadget is that it has both a QWERTY keyboard as well as a numeric keypad. This slider phone looks like any normal classic model, when closed. Slide it open and you can make use of the QWERTY keyboard for entering the input. The keys seem well spaced. There is as well a “www./ .com” key for easy address entry for web pages.
This cell phone has been particularly designed for use in the US. It will be using the T-Mobile network and will offer 3G capability only within the US. Outside the US the phone will have to rely on its quad band GSM connectivity for communication. Interfacing with AOL, Google Mail, Yahoo and more can be achieved with this phone.
Other specifications of this handset include Bluetooth capability, an MP3 player, a 2 Megapixel camera and microSD memory expansion. The screen measures 2.4" across and has a resolution of 240 x 320 pixels and can display 262k colours. A 5.5-hour talktime and a 12-day stand-by time are offered by the battery of this device.
Nokia E75 Mobile Phone has a similar construction, though it is more feature rich than the Samsung Gravity 2 Slider Mobile Phone. However, the price or other offers that come with the Samsung phone are not known yet. Since the Nokia E75 is priced at £390, the Samsung handset should surely cost lesser if it launches in the UK. On the whole this handset does look ergonomic, allowing ease of use with both the numeric as well as the QWERTY keyboard. Looks-wise too, Samsung has not done a bad job. The handset looks decent and quite sturdy too.
LG GW620 Eve Mobile Phone Might Be LG’s First Android Phone

LG GW620 Eve Mobile Phone details have been spotted in an XML file on the LG website. Though no official announcements have been made yet, this handset is expected to be LG’s first to feature Google’s Android operating system.
The XML file reveals details of the screen, connectivity and keyboard of the phone. This gadget will most probably have a touchscreen display with a resolution of 320 x 480 pixels. It is expected to be 3G capable with support for UMTS/HSDPA and GPRS. There is also a QWERTY keyboard mentioned in the file. Cellpassion also came across this mobile phone in a WiFi Alliance Certificate. This indicates that this cell phone will be WiFi capable too. A number of media files (both audio and video) are mentioned as supported in the file as well. This means there will surely be a multimedia player integrated into this device.
Considering that this mobile phone has a QWERTY keyboard and a touchscreen, it gives a picture of a slider phone like the Acer M900. Who knows, the LG GW620 Eve Smartphone might look like the HTC Dream also or may be even the Motorola Heron. For now we can only wait and watch.
Updates [14 September, 2009] :- The LG GW620 Mobile Phone is the same phone that was code named Etna. It features a 3" touchscreen with the above mentioned resolution. It is a quad band GSM mobile handset and like mentioned before, it supports the 3G HSDPA protocol. WiFi as well as GPS are supported. Bluetooth is supported as well. Along with the media player, you also listen to music on the FM radio integrated into this cell phone. A 3.5mm headphone socket is present too. There is as well a 5 Megapixel camera housed in this handheld. Deals, offers and pricing are yet to be announced.
