Samsung Diva S7070 Mobile Phone
February 7, 2010
The Samsung Diva S7070 Mobile Handset is a great "appeal"er when it comes to aesthetics. Quite a unique looking phone, the Diva S7070 has criss-cross lines running on its back, giving it a tiled effect. The front however is flat, with a 2.8" 240 x 320 pixels touchscreen and the 3 physical buttons. The call send & end keys and the navigation pad, which has a jewel-shape. Not all is attractive on the inside of this handheld though.

The display uses Samsung's TouchWiz user interface. There is an accelerometer sensor which allows "turn-to-mute". This is a 2G mobile phone and does not support 3G networks. Triband GSM, GPRS and EDGE are supported. Thus you can still access the internet and socialize with friends via the popular networks, but not as fast as the 3G phones would let you to. Emails, SMS, MMS and of-course, calls.
This handheld houses a 40MB memory. This can be expanded to a maximum of 8GB using microSD cards. Data can be shared with other devices using the microSD cards too. Bluetooth and the microUSB connectivity can as well be used for communicating with other gadgets.
A multimedia player is packed in this cell phone. There is also an FM radio. The 3.2MP camera of this handset allows snapping stills and shooting videos. There are some games loaded on this device, plus you can download more from the web.
The Samsung Diva S7070 Mobile Phone is ace in terms of battery life. A talktime of 10 hours is quoted. The price of this gadget is £169.99. It is available for pre-order and will release by the end of March, 2010.
Samsung B2700 Bound Mobile Phone
February 5, 2010
The Samsung B2700 Bound Mobile Phone is a tough-phone! It can be carried along during your treks or rafting adventures. Plus, it has some impressive entertainment and networking features packed in it too.
The rubberized case of this mobile phone gives it all the shock absorbing it will need during an accidental drop. It as well provides a good grip on the handheld. This mobile handset can also withstand dust and water. In case you clumsily spill your coffee or water over it, there shall be no qualms. It will still continue to work. Plus it is dust resistant too. A flashlight with a dedicated key to operate it are present as well.
Not just ruggedness, this little gadget is also an entertainer! It has a music player and an FM radio built into it. So after a long and tiring day on the rocks or in the waters, you can relax and listen to soothing music with the earphones that come along with the handheld.
Stay in touch with people back at home or your friends via SMS, MMS, emails or calls. This is a 3G capable mobile phone. Hence it allows connecting to the internet at good speeds. There is an internet browser preloaded in this cell phone as well. You can surf the web, email, access social networks and more, on the go. WiFi is however not supported. Therefore you'll have to rely on your carrier's mobile broadband connectivity for logging on to the internet.
The display is relatively small, compared to many other 3G handsets that you get in the market. This phone has just a 1.9" 176 x 220 pixels screen.
When you're out camping in the woods, during the weekend, you needn't worry about running out of battery, as this handset promises almost 640 minutes (10+ hours) of talktime and 420 hours (17 days) of stand-by.
Capture moments that you would love to recollect later on, with the 2MP camera housed in this gadget. Stills and videos can also be shot. The photos and videos you take, can be transferred to your PC or other compatible devices using the USB and Bluetooth connectivity. One negative point here is that this phone does not offer flash. Hence photographs and video-clips taken in dimly lit places will not really be clear. MicroSD cards up to 8GB capacity are supported. Hence you can achieve memory expansion and even data transfers using these cards.
The Samsung Bound is thus, an ideal companion to carry along, when you're adventure bound.
Samsung W9600 Mobile Phone with Pico Projector
February 1, 2010
The Samsung W9600 Mobile Phone is a neat looking compact mobile phone which will not give away the fact that it hides a DLP pico-projector within, at one glance. It looks like how a mobile phone is supposed to look, with no ugly bulges or extensions sticking out. Hence, it should be much more easy to slip into the pocket when compared to other pico-projector phones like the LG eXpo GW820. The Samsung W9600 is supposed to be better (in terms of projection only, it seems) than its predecessor, the Samsung W7900 mobile phone, which is also a compact pico projector handset.
Currently, W9600 is only focussed on the South Korean market. Perhaps Samsung might make plans later to land this mobile handset into overseas markets as well.
This handheld was being shown off at CES, Las Vegas, this time round.
A Texas Instruments WVGA chip has been employed for the projection. The gadget can project images, videos and even the phone's interface on to a wall or screen. Up to 60 inches of projected image size is said to be possible, with a contrast ratio of 2000:1. This feature can be useful when giving presentations.
This Samsung W9600 Cell Phone has an AMOLED touch display, a 5 Megapixel camera and Bluetooth compliance. Apart from these specs, none of the other details are known as of now.
