The Nokia E5 Mobile Phone is a mid-range business oriented smartphone. Despite being equipped with smart features for letting professionals manage their official life, there are features for entertainment and socialising as well. The first among the E-series range of Nokia mobile phones, this handheld sports a typical Blackberry-like form factor.

Physical features - A candybar, the Nokia E5 has a 2.4-inch 320 x 240 pixels screen with a QWERTY keyboard below it. The Symbian S60 3rd edition v9.3 runs in the background. On its rear, you'll find a 5 Megapixel camera with LED flash. Along the sides are - a volume rocker, a 3.5mm headphone socket and a microUSB 2.0 port. A microSD card slot is also present. It supports cards of up to 32GB capacity. The package includes a 2GB card.

Business features - It supports most of the popular email clients, like SMTP, IMAP4, POP3. Plus there's support for business related  client systems like Lotus Notes. Other features offered are VPN client; OVI Contacts 1.1; remote deletion; office tools (like dictionary, calender, pdf reader, notes, calculator, zip, converter and more) and additional security features.

Entertainment - You can listen to music and watch videos using the integrated media player. Stereo FM radio is available too. Bluetooth headsets as well as standard wired headphones can be used to listen to the music. You can access the Nokia Music Store or the Ovi store for more.

Socialising and Networking - Name it and you get it, in the Nokia E5 specs. There's 3.5G connectivity for speedy internet access, EDGE, GPRS and WiFi too. Stay connected with people via calls, SMS, MMS, instant messengers, social networks like Facebook, Twitter and more. There are customised clients for quick access to these social networks also.

Battery life - The Nokia E5 is quite high on battery life. It offers about 5.5 hours of talk on 3G network; 18.5 hours on GSM and almost 29 days on stand-by.

The Nokia E5 release date is scheduled for Q3 of this year.

The Nokia E5 price is quoted to be €180 excluding taxes and subsidies.
