In an earlier post we had mentioned about rumours of a new Huawei's android phone, which seemed to be named as G1 Touch in UK and MyTouch 3G in the US. However, these rumours turned out to be false. The HTC G1 Touch Mobile Phone is actually the
HTC Hero Mobile Phone. It is going to be named as the G2 Touch. T-Mobile and Orange networks will be running these handsets. While T-Mobile calls it
G2 Touch, Orange prefers sticking to the HTC Hero nomenclature.
Rushing through the specifications of the G2 Touch - it has a large 3.2" 320 x 480 pixels LCD touchscreen. It features a 5 Megapixel camera with autofocus and video recording capability. This smartphone features the Android OS. It supports WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS and also has a digital compass and G-sensor. High speed 3G HSPA internet access is offered as well. A mini USB port, a 3.5mm headphone jack, a microphone jack and a microSD slot are housed in this handheld too. This gadget features the HTC Sense UI, which helps you with easy access to documents/files, quick search of information and easy way of handling interactions with people.
Like other HTC android phones, this gadget has a lifted chin at the bottom. The old G1 from HTC looked quite similar. However, this was a slider phone, which had a QWERTY keyboard. On the other hand, the G2 Touch is a full touchscreen mobile phone.
The
HTC G2 Touch Android Mobile Phone is offered free for an 18-month plan from T-Mobile, costing £40 a month. Orange will be offering the HTC Hero free too for a 2 year contract. On the whole, this handset is priced at about £429.99. Find out mobile phones and
