HTC Imagio Smartphone will soon be out on the Verizon network costing $199.99 after a $100 rebate. It features the Windows Mobile 6.5 OS. The interface presents a number of apps in the form of widgets. Along with the common options like Calender, Favourites, Marketplace, Messages, IM and Camera, you also get special options like Navigator app, Digital Voice Mail and the VCAST Mobile TV. You can watch the TV channels using this service. You get quick access to YouTube, VCAST music and videos as well. The Opera browser comes preloaded in this handheld too. There is even provision for you to add your customised apps.

Scroll through all these applications and more with your finger or stylus on the 3.6" touch-capable screen which has a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels and the TouchFlo 3D user interface. It displays a large digital clock on the home screen. A tab on the bottom of the screen also displays the built in apps and you can scroll through them as well. Moreover, you can put the frequently used ones on the home screen too. On the top portion of the monitor sits the notification bar, which has indicators for battery life, 3G network, messages, mobile TV, signal strength, roaming and speaker phone on/off. It supports WiFi for internet connectivity in a hotspot.

There is a proximity sensor which puts the screen in a sleep mode when you are talking on the mobile phone, thus saving battery power. Once you're done with the call or when you take the phone away from the ear, the screen lights back up again. Another attraction in this gadget is its 5 Megapixel camera, which can both snap stills as well as play the role of a camcorder. It presents anti-shake ability, auto-focus and camera editing features.

An ergonomic handset, the HTC Imagio feels good to hold in the hand and work with. All thanks to its compact and svelte structure. There are send and end call keys below the screen. There is also another key which has been programmed to launch the VCAST mobile TV when clicked. Along the side of this gizmo is a volume rocker too. A 3.5mm headphone jack is built into this smartphone also. This enterprise mobile handset supports microSD cards for memory expansion and data sharing. Up to 16GB cards are supported. The HTC Imagio Windows Mobile Phone, can be set like a desk clock or you can watch the mobile TV, by setting it on the table with the stand provided on its back. There is even a stylus slot on the top corner of the gadget.
