LG, the Korea-based mobile phone maker has introduced its new handset LG Axis mobile phone. This smartphone comes loaded with a number of essential features and is a side slider handset. The keyboard of this handset is of QWERTY type. This gadget measures 115.8 l x 56.4 b x 15.8 t mm in dimensions and weighs about 158 grams.

The networking features of LG Axis mobile phone support 2G with CDMA 800 and 3G with CDMA2000 1xEV-DO. The data transfer feature available in this mobile phone is 3G. The local short distance connectivity features available are Bluetooth and microUSB. WLAN facility is also provided. Internet browsing in this device is supported by HTML. The navigation facility is provided by A-GPS reciever.

LG Axis mobile phone works with a Qualcomm MSM7627 chipset 600 MHz ARM 11 processor and Android v2.1 Eclair. In addition to a 512 MB ROM, 256 MB RAM and 100 MB internal memory this device supports microSD memory of up to 16GB. The call records and phonebook of this device offer unlimited fields and entries. Photocall option is also available.

LG Axis mobile phone comes with a 3.2 inches TFT capacitive touchscreen display of 256 thousand colours and 480 x 800 pixels. Touch-sensitive controls and Accelerometer sensor are the other relevant features provided in this handset. The messaging features include IM, Email, Push Email, SMS and MMS.

The imaging feature of LG Axis mobile phone highlights a built in camera with a resolution of 3.15MP (2048 x 1536 pixels). Autofocus, LED flash and VGA video recording are the supportive features included in this device. Formats supports by audio and video players are MP3, MP4, eAAC+ and H.264.
