The Cookie range of LG mobile phones recently got a fresh addition - the LG Cookie Fresh GS290 Mobile Phone. This device mainly targets the youth crowd, with its social networking abilities, a touchscreen, music features, a variety of colours and most importantly, high affordability.

However, not all's rosy on the LG Cookie GS290 front. It lacks 3G. Even WiFi connectivity has been omitted from this mobile phone. Hence users will have to rely on EDGE and GPRS for accessing the internet. Social networking sites like Twitter, Facebook and MySpace are integrated in this cell phone.

A 3" WQVGA resistive touchscreen is featured. The LG S-Class user interface has been implemented in it.

An FM radio and a 3.5mm headphone jack are present in this LG mobile phone. Bluetooth and microSD cards are supported too. A 2 Megapixel camera comes packed within as well. The handset is supposed to be available in about 10 different colours.

The LG Cookie Fresh GS290 price has not yet been confirmed. However, speculations are that it might retail for less than £100. Hence you can count it under the cheap mobile phones available today.

The LG Cookie Fresh GS290 release is expected in early April, 2010, in the UK.
