Recently LG showcased a new handset called the LG GC990 Louvre Mobile Phone at the Warsaw Korea Products Exhibition. What's special about this gadget is that it features a 12 Megapixel camera! Yes there have been other 12 MP camera phones like Sony Ericsson Satio mobile phone and Samsung M8910 Pixon mobile phone. However, the LG GC990 Louvre stands out because it can capture high definition videos as well, with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels and a frame rate of 30 fps. The Samsung i8910 Omnia HD phone allows shooting of HD videos too. However, it is just an 8MP camera phone.



Coming back to our LG GC990 Louvre, both autofocus as well as touch focus are supported by this mobile phone. Not just that, a xenon flash is also packed in this gizmo for producing a brighter flash while shooting in the dark. Geo-tagging is supported too. Moreover, Schneider-Kreuznach optics have been employed as well. Hey wait! There's more. This gadget even boasts of zero shutter lag, enabling clicking of photographs really fast. All these features put this mobile phone at par with digital cameras!

Other features of this LG mobile phone include a 3.2" full touchscreen with 16 million colours. Its S-Class UI provides an intuitive interface for users. A TV output, WiFi with DLNA, GPS, Bluetooth, multimedia player and an accelerometer are all housed in this handset.

However, LG still call this mobile phone a concept. They have mentioned that there is no confirmed plan to release the LG GC990 Louvre 12 MP Camera Phone into the market. Come on now LG! Nobody cooks a delicious pudding and leaves it on the dining table just for a visual treat!
