Everyone is a fan of the
Blackberry design. Samsung and Nokia have tried their hands at making such phones too ( with handsets like
Samsung Omnia Pro B7320, Nokia E71 and
Nokia E72 ). And now it is the turn of LG to join the bandwagon. Their new LG GW300 Mobile Phone sports the Blackberry look, with a candybar QWERTY keyboard construction.
The inclusion of a QWERTY keyboard indicates that this
mobile handset is meant for social networking. There is a web browser and an email client installed in this device. Quick access to Facebook is provided too. The screen is a 2.4", 320 x 240 pixels one with support for 262k colours.
This gadget however is an entry level kind of phone. It supports GSM only. GPRS and EDGE are supported as well. 3G connectivity with HSDPA or WCDMA is not compatible. Nor is WiFi or GPS. This handset is however Bluetooth capable. Thus you can exchange files with other compatible devices or even use Bluetooth headsets for listening to music.
Entertainment options like a media player, an FM radio and a 3.5mm headphone socket are present on board this device. A 2 Megapixel snapper is included in it as well. Memory expansion for additional storage can be achieved with microSD cards also.
The LG GW300 Social Networking Mobile Phone will initially be released into the Spanish market. A UK release is expected too. However, no dates,
prices or
mobile phone offers are mentioned yet.
