Having the same mobile phone for your official and personal needs can sometimes be messy. But carrying 2 different mobile phones can be a nuisance too. A dual SIM phone seems ideal in such cases. The LG GX200 Mobile Phone is one such mobile handset, with some impressive and some not-so-impressive features.
Let's start with the impressive features - The dual SIM ability of this quadband GSM handheld allows using 2 SIM cards at the same time. A menu is presented to allow users to choose which SIM they wish to use when making outbound calls. So it is pretty easy to use. The other impressive features include a 13.5 hour talktime with an outstanding 70 days on stand-by.
A multimedia player and an FM radio are packed in this mobile handset. Bluetooth and USB connectivity are present for linking it with other gadgets. Not only these, but microSD cards up to 4GB are also supported for memory expansion and even data sharing.
Despite its simple looks it packs in GPRS ability and a WAP browser. Thus you can use this handheld for basic internet surfing and emailing. There's no 3G or WiFi and not even EDGE. Hence, it is not a very social networking oriented device.
The screen of this LG mobile phone is petty with just 2" of diagonal measure. The resolution offered is 176 x 220 pixels and it supports 262k colours. A basic 1.3MP camera with LED flash is also present. This flash can also play the part of a torch when needed.
The LG GX200 price has not yet been confirmed officially. However, it is expected to ship for about €100 (~£89). A UK release is yet to be mentioned.
