LG Lotus Elite Mobile Phone Debuts at CES, 2010

From LG's bag of goodies to be displayed at CES, 2010, the first one that popped up was the bright crimson, floral patterned, LG Lotus Elite Mobile Phone, a successor to the LG Lotus mobile phone.

lg-lotus-elite - Missphones.co.uk The Lotus Elite is a clamshell, with rounded edges and dual screens. The external one is a touchscreen with a 2.4" diagonal measure, a 240 x 320 pixel-resolution and 262k colours. The internal one also has the same specifications, but it seems to lack touch-capability. ThisĀ  LG mobile phone is justified by the QWERTY keyboard located on the inside. You can access all information like, music, emails, texts, call history, contacts and more directly from the external screen. However, when you need to type in something, it seems like you'll have to use the keypad. You can access all menus, emails, music, texts and other apps from the inside as well.

This social networking handset offers 3 shortcut keys called 'Social', 'Email' and 'Text'. The Social key can be customised to access any social network. Another rare key on this handheld is the 'smiley' key located on the right bottom side of the keypad. A music player and a 2MP camera are housed in this gadget as well. The camera is located on the right hand side of the hinge. This makes it possible to click pictures when the mobile phone is both closed and open.

This is a Sprint device. Hence meant for the US. The LG Lotus Elite is an EVDO device, which can also access broadband services like the Sprint TV. The OneClick service from Sprint is featured too. Navigation with GPS and relevant Sprint software is also possible. It is said to be available from January 10 for a price of about $100 with a mail in rebate of $50. A 2 year agreement will also be involved.
