Orange
ORANGE - A colour that symbolises energy, zest, enthusiasm, warmth and friendship! May be this inspired the name 'Orange' for the Mobile Broadband provider in the UK. The Orange Group is currently, one of the leading broadband suppliers catering to the people in the UK and many more countries around the globe. Innovative and creative, the company provides numerous useful services to its customers.

HISTORY:-
On 28th April 1994, the company was launched in Bristol. The organisation initially supplied land-line phones, and covered only part of the UK. Slowly, but steadily, they diversified their offerings, and ventured into fax, data service and wired internet connections. Then came the mobile phone network, leading to mobile internet access. Orange tied up with other mobile phone manufacturers to launch hand-sets that worked on their network. The company has seen the network climbing the ladder with the regular phones, then the smartphones, followed by the latest touchscreen phones. With the internet access dongles, they were able to provide wireless mobile broadband connections as well, for laptops and computers. They have now joined hands with laptop manufacturers too, to integrate mobile broadband in the netbooks and notebooks.

As technology advanced, Orange adopted new measures to ensure that their customers get the best service. Their network coverage rapidly dispersed across the UK, with the customer base increasing in leaps and bounds. The organisation set foot outside the UK in Switzerland in the year 1998. Then there was no turning back. The group has spread its roots far and wide across the world now.

The group did face some tough competition, when it took its first few steps, initially. However, with a team of dedicated and hard working officials and developers, the organisation has taken huge strides on the road to success. Today, the Orange Group has a customer base of more than 175 Million spread across 5 continents.

MOBILE BROADBAND:-
The broadband supplier provides a dongle, a USB stick like device, which can be plugged into the USB port of the computer. This dongle works with a SIM card. When connected for the first time, you will be prompted for the installation of the necessary software. On successfully installing the software, you can access the internet at home, at work, during travel, anywhere, anytime.

The company currently provides web-surfing rates of 3.6Mbps. They plan to roll out 7.2Mbps connections shortly, to give their customers a super-fast internet access experience. A number of attractive offers, bundles, packages with trial periods are offered by Orange to its subscribers. The organisation also treats its customers to movies with the Orange Wednesday offer that gives 2 for 1 film tickets. Customer satisfaction is top priority for the company. This motive has driven the group to take all steps necessary to keep subscribers happy, while also setting some tough competition for rival providers.
