73 per cent tried mobile gaming in the UK
A research on the context of mobile gaming was carried out by PopCap that has shown some amusing results.

About 2400 owners of mobile phone in both the United Kingdom and the United States were probed on their mobile gaming habits. 32 per cent said that they had played a video game on a mobile device in the past.

More customers in the United Kingdom  that there Amercian counterparts had participated in games such as Cut the Rope and Angry Birds. 73 per cent of the respondents in the United Kingdom saying that they had atleast once played a mobile game compared to 44 per cent of us respondents.

Although a good number of those 73 per cent were one time players. When asked whether they had played a game on the mobile phone during last month only 33 per cent said they had. However this helped them qualify as mobile gamers in the eyes of the research.

A quarter of the people questioned in the United Kingdom were recorded as avid mobile phone gamers because they had played mobile phone games during last week.

Among those that played the game on their mobile phone 50 per cent revealed that the amount of time spent by them playing games on their mobile phone has surged over the last year.
