A new Acer Smartphone, called the Acer Liquid Metal phone, is said to be stepping into the market next month. A spokesperson for Acer UK has reportedly confirmed the same.

This new mobile phone will sport a 3.6" WVGA touchscreen. It will supposedly run Android 2.2 and will sport a proprietary UI, called Acer Shell 4.0. According to some sources, this handset will be driven by an ARM 800MHz processor and will have 512MB of RAM. Bluetooth 3.0, a camera with flash and Dolby sound are also said to be offered.

The Acer Liquid Metal smartphone is mentioned to be available in 2 colours - brushed aluminium and champagne brown. The price and other details are yet to be announced. We'll brief you as soon as we get briefed.
