Now that the festive season is here, the Department of Health have come up with an application for mobile phones that will help users keep a check on how much alcohol they consume.

This app has been designed to reduce the healthy problems and illnesses caused by excessive drinking. This venture is part of the £9M 'Know Your Limits' marketing campaign of the government.

Mobile handsets with internet access can this alcohol tracker app, which is available for free throughout the UK, on either iTunes or the NHS website (www.nhs.uk). It is an interactive utility which requires the people to enter the number of drinks they consume in a day. Personalised graphs will be presented to indicate if the intake is exceeding safe limits.

You can even message text to 64746 for availing advice, in case you cannot download the app.
