
The popular mobile phone manufacturer based in Hong Kong, Alcatel One Touch has announced its launching five more Android mobile phones in the United Kingdom this year.
Besides the popular Asian mobile phone maker has also predicted that its sales in the United Kingdom will carry on to soar during this year, after doubling its mobile phone shipments in 2010 to 1.6 million.
Alcatel's director for UK and Ireland, William Paterson said while speaking to Mobile that they definitely envysaged a robust growth in the ongoing year. He added that they have widened their channel distributiuon, which would help them drive further growth.
It is expected that four Android smartphones will be launched by Alacatel One Touch this year in the United Kingdom. A couple of those Android smartphones have been planned by the company for the second quarter and the other two models can be expected in the third quarter of 2011.
The launch of a fifth smartphone is expected in the fourth quarter of the year 2011, while the company according to Paterson was hoping to strike a deal with the popular mobile network operator Three UK later in the year.
