Apple is considering 'app rental', as per iTunes update
Apart from the iPhone, we relate Apple with iCloud, the new networked storage. Now Apple is on the verge of introducing 'app rentals', as disclosed in the recent iTunes update.

'iTunes 10.5 beta 9' is complete with many text strings related to app rental and processes by means of which expired apps are deleted from the iTunes library. That is a proof that such a feature is existing, but it may not be incorporated in the smartphones directly. However it may eventually be included in the iOS.

The question is whether the app rental is necessary at all. Most of the apps are quite cheap. Apple may rent out only certain app beyond a cut off value. It is not prudent to rent out an app of $0.99 for $0.25 per day. But in the case of navigation app of $ 50 renting out is alright. 'Try-before-you-buy' app rental may be incorporated in the iPhone. But such a feature may not be used at all. .
