At the beginning of the month when Apple made the announcement of 'iPhone 4S', there was also mention of a couple of new apps, 'Find My Friends', and 'Cards', which have been made available for the iPhone users from to-day.

There is no doubt that e-mail is the easiest, fastest and best means of communication. But at times it may be necessary to use the traditional method of communication through letters. It necessitates the purchase of the physical card and stamps, writing the matter and the address and then posting at the relevant point. But the Cards app, which is free, makes things easy for the users, who can chose the most appropriate message from various designs available in different categories. Then Apple will do the needful to arrange mailing of the card. The cost of delivery of the card is $3 in the USA and $5 abroad.

The other app, Find My Friends, which is also free, enables the user and his associates to know the whereabouts of each other. This is all the more necessary when group events are planned. Every movement of the partner is known and contacts can be made easily.

There is also scope for limiting the access if desired, say in case of a private visit or for some confidential matters which the user may not want the friends to know about.
