SSE (Scottish and Southern Energy), the energy retailer based in the United Kingdom and Ireland has reportedly contracted Telrock, the popular provider of mobile applications technology, to introduce to the market a mobile application that enables the customers of SSE to confirm the accuracy of their energy bill.
The new mobile application being developed by Telrock will also help the customers of the energy retailer to pay their energy bills through their mobile phones.
The smartphone and iPad customers of SSE will be able to download as well as register the application from the iTunes store. For making a payment customers just need to respond to the request for payment in the application, directly.
Meanwhile, those customers of SSE that do not own a smartphone or an internet tablet can depend on the two-way text messaging as the secure mechanism for bill payment.
Prior to Telrock's implementing for SSE its mobile payment technology many customers of the energy retailer have been paying their bills some 14 to 21 days after the delivery of their statement by the post.
