Most of the BlackBerry customers across Europe, Africa and the Middle East had experienced some jinx in their services yesterday. However, the company has restored their services and customers started enjoying BlackBerry services.
A break down at Slough's Rim data centre has resulted in the service outage. This disrupted services like web browsing and messenger. Normally, BlackBerry users don't experience such problems and this situation is very rare for them.
RIM said that the problem is rectified now and things are running smoothly. Some of the services were restored late night itself. Few BlackBerry customers were frustrated and complained about this outage on Tweeter.
BlackBerry did not perform well in the smart phone global market, except in the UK and even its PlayBook tablet sales dropped. The poor financial results have forced the company to reduce its prices in the US. Company hopes that reduced prices could boost their tablet sales.
