Vodafone, one of the five prominent mobile network operators in the United Kingdom, is reportedly facing serious problems on its mobile networks following a break-in at the operators exchange in Basing Stoke.

The break-in that took place in the early hours of Monday February 28 culminated in causing some damage to a few of its equipment. This in its turn has been instrumental in causing loss of internet, text and voice services for a number of customers in the United Kingdom.

According to the explanation given by Vodafone it was striving to get back the services into operational mode at the earliest possible. The mobile network operator also added that its customers private data security has not been affected.

Meanwhile it is not clear as to the exact number of customers that have been affected by the break-in. Vodafone further reported that they have been experiencing a few problems such as a big amount of dropped phone calls.

It is also worth mentioning that Vodafone UK has been on a high, for their launching a fresh Apple iPhone SIM- only package predominately targeting the iPhone customers that were looking to switch networks.
