After much speculation, rumour and alleged misleads from rivals, the Google mobile phone, Nexus One, has finally stepped out of cover for the world to behold.
The Nexus One is supposed to have a 3.7" (some say 3.5") OLED/AMOLED touchscreen. This intriguing mobile phone is supposed to be thinner than the Apple iPhone. There are 4 soft keys at the bottom for operating it, along with a physical scroll wheel.
A Snapdragon processor is supposed to drive this gadget. A 5MP camera is expected to be packed within. A new version of Android will be powering up the handheld and will present new 3D elements in the tray, a new grid icon which displays all homescreen previews in the WebOS card style and more. The device is said to support a voice-to-text feature for allowing email dictation. Wifi and maybe GPS will also be supported.

Google have confirmed that they have given the mobile handset to their employees for using. This might also probably be for reporting issues if any. This smartphone is said to be running the Android 2.1.
Reading QR Codes seems like another interesting aspect in this mobile phone. QR codes is a Google innovation where barcode-like codes will be affixed to images, maps, businesses etc. Reading these codes will give reviews, coupons, offers and plenty of other information about the entity. A feature called Google Goggles is also supposed to be part of this phone, which helps in a visual search of images. It is said to take photographs ad analyse the objects in them.
The Google Nexus One Mobile Phone is expected to be operator-independent and will be sold unlocked directly by Google, sometime early in 2010. Deals, offers and pricing are still not known.
