Controlling A Robot using the Apple iPhone

We've heard about the numerous applications offered by the Apple App Store and we've also seen how popular they are among the consumers. But for the first time, an application has been developed to allow controlling a robot using the Apple iPhone mobile handset.


A team from Graduate School of Media Design belonging to the Keio University, has developed an application, which can control the movements of a robot. The application is called Walky. This control system can be installed on the iPhone mobile phone and by using natural finger gestures, one can make a robot walk, turn, jump, bend and even kick a small ball, reports Geeky Gadgets.


Walky is supposed to be capable of controlling virtual characters in games as well. There is no information if this app will soon feature on the already heavily laden Apple App Store. Anyway, have a look at the awesome video below.
