Crack down on drivers using mobile phones while driving
The drivers that use their mobile handsets while motoring in Coventary could be targeted as the initial measure of a city wide campaign.

This means that Coventary would be in the next few weeks roadside checks throughout the area. This follows a rise in the number of motorists located using their mobile phones while driving.

The Road Safety Partnership would be leading the operation. The Partnership includes the members of the road safety team of the city counsil, the fire service and police of West Midlands.

The chairman of the Partnership and spokesman for the fire service station of West Midlands, Kevin Rogers said that in the checks carried out over the recent months in Coventary they were shocked by the number of motorists they had been seeing using their mobile devices and driving.

The police officers of West Midland will have such motorists stocked. However, the city council colleagues of Conventary have discussed between them why the action of theirs were so dangerous.
