Deutsche Telekom, the German company that owns T-Mobile, has reportedly had talks with investment bankers at JP Morgan, for planning future course of action. According to Mobile News, Vodafone has been approached by the bankers to discuss the possibility of a bid. It is also stated that Vodafone is considering a bid in the range of £2.5 billion to £3.4 billion. If these reports turn out to be true, then Vodafone will own about 40% of the UK customer base.

Most of the problems faced by T-Mobile are being blamed on the not so attractive handsets, the company has got. The provider however has some new handsets like G2 Touch lined up for release. The Guardian mentioned that T-Mobile is believed to be having talks with Apple for having the Apple iPhone. The mobile phone already uses T-Mobile's network in Germany. There have been rumours about Vodafone and Orange wanting the iPhone as well. Richard Moat, the new managing director of T-Mobile, has been preparing to announce plans for reviving the state of the company. He has had rough times since the talks with bankers of JP Morgan.
