HTC had decided to have Gingerbread update for Droid Incredible. But somehow it did not materialize for various reasons. There were hurdles. But things seem to have been settled now and the upgrade is likely very soon.

Gingerbread on Thunderbolt seems to be certain, in spite of its problems with updates, which did more harm than good. However it is reliably learnt that the phone will have the official OTA Gingerbread up gradation by October.

The updates for both models will be available in this month according to HTC. But Verizon has not confirmed this. Any way things are going in the positive direction.
