Huawei close to striking mobile equipment deal
The leading Chinese technology gadget manufacturer, Huawei technologies is close to hammering out an equipment deal with the prominent mobile network operator of the United Kingdom, Everything Everywhere, according to recent reports.

Huawei technologies as per reports is said to win an order releated to wireless network from Everything Everywhere, the joint venture of France Telecom, parent firm of Orange, and Deutshe Telekom the parent company of T-Mobile, in the United Kingdom.

The deal will be the first major wireless network contract win in the United Kingdom for the Chinese technology firm. Huawei previously has secured a part of a deal with BT group in 2005 for fixed line broadband equipment.

Earlier, Huawei was also found seeking to establish a mobile phone network across the London Underground, completing in time for the London Olympic Games due for next year. This proposal was however aborted due to cost issues.

Everything Everywhere that operates the Orange and T-Mobile brands in the United Kingdom has become the largest mobile phone company in the country after the merger of the UK units of France Telecom and Deutshe Telekom in 2009.
