In a recent announcement, Huawei has revealed its plans to become the top three Smart phone maker within five years. The Ambitious plans were announced by the chief marketing officer for Huawei Devices, Victor Xu during the launch event of their Vision smartphone and MediaPad tablet in London. The businesses and sales have grown significantly over the past few years.

The demand for smart phones in the UK is significantly higher, said the company. It will make UK as the pilot country and will expand the brand outside China. If a company is able to withstand the tough competition in the UK market, it can do well anywhere. London Design Centre will be set-up by the maker to provide innovative products for the European customers. The center will be operated by Huawei Device UK and Mark Mitchinson, Ireland executive VP.

Endorsing brand awareness was the main motive of the company for 2011. In the year 2012 it hopes to expand the markets in US, India and Japan. 2012 Plans for the UK markets are very ambitious. It hopes to capture 4% of the market share by 2012. next year will see more tablet devices from Huawei. The company has plans to add a number of retailers and operators to their distribution channels.
