Google can unlock the Android phone 'Nexus Prime' by facial recognition. The phone will incorporate Android 2.4.1 of codename 'Ice cream Sandwich'.

A list of Android application package, consisting both new and old applications has come out probably from the Nexus Prime phone. One of them is 'FaceLock.apk'. From the name it can be inferred that it may pertain to face related authentication.

The timing is certainly okay as the front facing cameras are the standard now. The only thing the Google needs is a suitable algorithm with false-negatives and false-positives, so as to secure the phone. The technology is already there in 'Picasa' and 'Google Goggles'. So it can be easily incorporated in Ice Cream Sandwich as well.
