Ice Cream Sandwich users will find the capability of the OS to remove the icons of built-in apps from the home screen or the app list. Icons displayed on the Windows Phone 7 app screen or iOS 5 are prominent and there is no way to get rid of them. ICS, Android 4.0 OS solves this issue by disabling the apps. This way you can remove the unused app from the home screen.
However, the apps are just hidden and not removed completely. The best part of this new feature is that the user can re-enable the app anytime. The disabled app can be enabled at a touch of a button available in the setting menu.
With this new feature at hand, using Ice Cream Sandwich could be hassle-free and easy. Google's engineer Dave Burke has demonstrated this new app that is easy to disable and re-enable.
