After learning that with the installation of Mango, wireless internet sharing will be available for Windows Phone handsets, HTC clarified how it can be made possible.
But HTC was unable to prepare its updates with hotspot as Mango was added too late. But Microsoft said that the feature is there only for Windows Phones with radio which can broadcast a connection. If the existing phone is updated to Windows Phone 7.5, Internet Sharing will not be possible.
It is indeed bad news that hardware is not compatible. But Joe Belfiore of HTC clarified that with the help of a wireless radio driver from the phone manufacturers the existing Windows Phones devices can have the hotspot mode. Probably HTC could not make ready this item on time.
As expected Microsoft declared that the mobile operators have the authority to enable the feature in their phones. The manufacturers are yet to announce the arrival date of the hotspot-capable drivers.
