Apple's 'iPhone 4S', released in October 2011, after much fanfare is running into trouble. The customers with high expectation about the phone are disappointed after spending substantial amount for it.
Unfortunately the manufacturer is showing a deaf ear to the problem.
The fault is with the audio system of the phone. It has been noticed that certain outgoing calls are without audio. The receiver can hear the voice of the caller but not vice versa. Even the sound of ring is not heard. The issue seems to be because of Apple's hands-free set up.
Till now there are 108 pages of complaints from the customers in the Apple Support Communities forum, but no action of any sort has been taken yet. The pages have been viewed not less than 150,000 times.
The customers are alarmed at the lukewarm attitude of such a big establishment as Apple. To make matters worse for Apple, the complaint pages are increasing day by day. But quite surprisingly, Apple does not seem to respond.
After waiting for more than three months, the customers have decided to call their situation as 'Audiogate.'
The customers have formed their own audiogate support group to settle the matter somehow or other. Most of them have returned the phones. Unfortunately the problem persists in the replacement phones.
