Launch of BlackBerry Bold 9900 postponed
It has been reported that, BlackBerry Bold 9900, the latest model from RIM that was expected to hit the markets this summer, has been delayed. It is expected that this new 'Bold' series phone will come in September. However, all BlackBerry lovers will have to wait for updates from RIM to confirm the same.
The new BlackBerry Bold 9900 looks similar to the earlier 'Bold' models. This sleek model will be thinner than the previous 'Bolds'. It has a capacitive touch screen and operated on BlackBerry OS 7.
The key features of the new Bold are NFC technology for mobile payments, 1.2GHz Snapdragon processor, 5-megapixel camera with 720p HD video recording, and 8GB of internal memory. This quad-band GSM phone is compatible with HSPA+ networks.
In addition, it has been reported that, BlackBerry OS 7.5 will be the last major OS release on smart phones before QNX.
