The LG Optimus GT540 release date for the UK has been set to 1 May, 2010. It is said to be available exclusively with network operator O2, for a limited period of time. However, no pricing or contract details have been revealed yet.

The LG GT540 is an Android 2.1 based entry-level smartphone. It sports a 3" touchscreen. Great emphasis has been laid on social networking. Twitter and Facebook apps have been integrated within. A common console allows managing these multiple accounts.
