A few details of the LG smartphone which is said to sport Microsoft's new mobile operating system, the Windows Mobile 7, have been leaked. It is supposedly called the LG Panther. The details are sparse at the moment. But whatever is known is quite impressive.

The LG Windows Mobile 7 phone is said to feature a 3.8" AMOLED capacitive touch display. If this is true, we know that we can expect better brightness and more vivid colours, along with better readability in the sun, than LCD screens. This handset is supposed to be a slider, with a QWERTY keyboard hiding beneath.

It is also speculated that a 1GHz processor will be running on the inside. There is also supposed to be 8GB of memory housed within.

There are reportedly 2 cameras. The main being a 5MP one and a secondary front facing one for video calls. The 5MP camera might offer 720p video captures.

The release date, or markets where this smartphone will be available in is not known yet. Guess we'll have to wait some more for that.
