The battle for the supremacy in smartphones is on the card, with the release of iPhone5 and other major Android devices, which can be called 'superphones.'
A superphone is the one with a high definition screen, a multi-core processor based on Advanced RISC Machine (ARM)'s A15 architecture and facility for super fast connectivity with next generation mobile broadband.
Microsoft informed that its 'superphone' will emerge at the end of 2012. The hardware will incorporate a new version of its mobile operating system 'Apollo'.
'Mango', the latest version of Windows Mobile, released in the month of October was very popular among the users. It was incorporated in Lumia 800, the first 'Nokia Windows Phone' handset. However Microsoft could not take part in the mobile war. The sale was far below expectation. As per reliable sources, the Windows Phone has only 1.3% of the market share.
Nokia will make Windows Phone devices incorporating 'Apollo' operating system from October 2012. The market share of the product is expected to rise considerably.
Microsoft informed that even before the release of 'Apollo', an update 'Tango' for the Windows phone will surface. Tango is expected to give a good boost to the Windows Phone in the market.
The delay in the major update to the Windows Phone will mean that Apple and Google will race far ahead of Microsoft, to the disappointment of its fans.
