Intune, a cloud based management tool, released seven months back, which allows administrators to install and update software over the cloud to the units staying anywhere, is now getting an update.
With the Microsoft update the administrators can take care of 'malware scanning' and arrange shutdown remotely. The user interface includes drag and drop support, alerts with colour codes, and also the ability to differentiate the machines which need immediate attention.
There is the facility to customize alerts, which enable identification of probable issues, determine the importance of the issue and provide solution before the performance and the productivity get disturbed.
Eric Main of Microsoft has very high opinion and hopes about Intune. He expects it to output more management capabilities at low cost and achieve better productivity.
Main is particular about periodic update of Intune. That will be a correct step for innovation.
The current users will be getting the update in a few weeks or so, but the beta users must arrange it by 17th November to avoid losing the data.
