Million Volt Stun Guns Smuggled into Britain Disguised as Mobile Phones
Mobile Phone Stun Gun

They look like regular mobile phones. But pressing a special button on them can turn them into lethal weapons that can even give a person a cardiac arrest. These are stun guns which can produce a 1 million volt shock. According to Sky News, criminals are smuggling such stun guns in the guise of mobile phones into Britain. Though these gadgets look like mobile phones, they cannot perform any functions of a mobile phone.

UK Border Agency are supposed to have seized such devices from 2 people - one at the Glasgow airport from a person who flew in from Bulgaria and another from a person who flew in from Turkey into Manchester.

The K95 is a mobile phone stun gun which delivers a 950,000 volt shock. A 50,000 volt shock is supposed to get a person on the ground and paralyse him for about 10 minutes. So the K95, which delivers a more powerful shock, can only be more harmful. Some say that it can make a person unconscious for a long time and sometimes even have a cardiac arrest from which he might not recover.

While these gadgets can prove to be useful for self defence (especially for women who work for late hours or with night shifts etc), they can also be misused. Hence UK Border Force director, Brodie Clark, says that he doesn't want such weapons on the streets of Britain. He has deployed forces at airports, ports and postal sorting offices to prevent such devices from arriving into the UK.

Here's a video of how such a mobile phone stun gun works.
