The Mirror has partnered with Envirofone, a
mobile phone recycling company, to carry forward the green movement. They accept mobile phones that you no longer wish to use and pay you money in return. These mobile phones will be recycled for re-usability. Certain minerals like coltan that help retain charge in the handhelds are quite rare. Instead of letting the gadgets collect dust in the attic, the Mirror has taken this eco-friendly initiative.
The
Mirror states that handsets like the Sony Ericsson Walkman can get you an amount ranging from £5 for the W300i model to £95 for the
W902 model. The T-Mobile phones can fetch you £12 for the SDA-2 and £90 for the
G1. The more feature-rich handsets like the
Nokia N96 can even let your pocket gain about £170.
On furnishing the required details
online, the price of your mobile phone will be calculated within 2 minutes. The report mentions that damaged phones will be accepted too. However the price will be fixed only after an inspection of the device is made.
