Mobile phones to be charged by body warmth
A consumer losing the charge of his mobile phone or in other words going out of battery at a juncture where the need of the deviceĀ is most, is obviously one of the big irritations of the times.

The technology is today set to give a simple solution for this potential situation, which is, as simple as slipping the device back into the customers pocket and getting it charged. This is done by the heat from the body of the customer that is responsible for charging it right back.

Patrick Hyland, a designer based in the United Kingdom has been researching with mobile giant Nokia for developing a concept mobile phone dubbed the E-CU. Here the letter E stands for Eco while the letters CU stands for Copper. This concept phone comes encased in a copper skin that is highly conductive and engraved with a pattern similar to the cracked earth for increasing the surface area.

The heat is transmitted by the casing to a thermo generator located inside. This application subsequently converts the heat into eletricity. This mobile phone can be charged by simply placing it near any heat source, beside a radiator, on a snoozing cat or in the consumer's pocket.

This mobile phone is another example of the surging trend in harnessing energy from the human body, whether via motion or heat.
