The EWG or Environmental Working Group has made a lit of the most dangerous and the safest mobile phones in the market. The study was done based on the SAR emission values which points out the strength of radiations given out by the mobile phone. It has been found out recently that the phones with high SAR values can be carcinogenic.

The highest SAR value permitted in US and Canada is 1.6W/kg while it is a bit higher in Europe- 2W/kg. The SAR value is measures in Watts (Watts of Radiations).

As per the list made by EWG, Motorola produces mobiles with the highest as well as the lowest SAR value. With 12 Motorola products listed with the highest SAR value, Motorola tops the EWG chart. Motorola Bravo, Motozine and their V Range products produce more radiations with 1.6 W/kg and 1.58 W/kg. Next in the list is BlackBerry 8820 with 1.58 W/kg emissions.

The credit for the next 14 models in the list too goes to Motorola. On the other hand, the credit for brining in the models with the lowest SAR emission values too goes to Motorola. Motorola V.101 and V.100 are the safest models with just 0.14 W/kg.

Apple is also listed and their IPhone 3GS is the highest emitting model with 1.19 W/kg. Other models that come in this category are HTC Desire and Motorola Droid.
