Networks of Orange and T-Mobile merge to be Everything Everywhere!
The merger of two networks, that of Orange and T-mobile on 11th October saw the formation of a new company called strangely- Everything Everywhere. It also saw the formation of a market share of 37% covering nearly 30 million subscribers. Customers only need to register online and access for free the other network. At present only voice and text are being shared but later the merger will be more seamless. The future idea is to rope in 2G, 3G and Wi-Fi connections. At a later date users of mobile phones can change the network amid a call depending on the signal strength the user receives. This paves the way to a future where multiple networks or different carriers can work together to give a huge number of services and facilities. Considering the increasing use and improvement of wireless technology and smartphones or innovative gadgets, the potential is enormous. It can also probably reduce costs and pass it on to the consumer. Instant access to everything everywhere is the idea behind this merger. At present the two brands, Orange and T-Mobile, will be marketed independently, as each has a sightly different share of the Telecom cake, but effectively it is the largest network in the UK.
