Nokia is readying a navigation and GPS capable Nokia 2710 mobile phone, which is expected to hit markets in Q2 next year. This mobile handset is supposed to be highly affordable at just €100.
This 2.2" screen device, does seem a little small for in-car navigation. But it does offer turn-by-turn voice guidance as well. Point-to-point, navigation with a digital compass is also offered. A microSD card which contains device-based mapping is supposed to be used in this mobile handset.
The other features it packs within are a 2MP camera, an FM radio and a 3.5mm headphone socket. The battery it houses claims to deliver a 4 hour 20 minute talktime and 18 days on standby.
